[Award] Ph.D. Student Gi-ho Lee Receives a KIEE Outstanding Paper Award

Gi-ho Lee, a Ph.D. student in POSTECH's Department of Electrical Engineering advised by Professor Young-jin Kim, received an Outstanding Paper Award at the 2025 Joint Spring Conference of the Technical Committees of the Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers' Power Engineering Society for “Power Grid Frequency Regulation Using a Data-Driven Fuel Cell System: An Experimental Study.”

The paper was highly regarded for developing a data-driven model using an experimental fuel cell system and validating the performance of a designed grid-frequency controller on the experimental apparatus.

The joint spring conference featured 126 papers from universities, research institutes, and industry, with in-depth discussions of key issues facing the future power industry, including future grid stability assessment, AI-based distributed energy innovation, and national power system development.
