The following students were selected for the Kwon Oh-hyun Scholarship.
Recipients: Hwa-sook Cho, Seung-hwan Choi, Seung-hoon Kim, and Cheol-ho Han.
Date and time: Thursday, March 25, at 14:00. Venue: Department Chair's Office.
Eligibility: Promising Electrical Engineering undergraduates entering their third year with excellent academic records and financial hardship.
Support: KRW 2.5 million per semester for two semesters.
The fund was established with a donation to Electrical Engineering from Oh-hyun Kwon, President of Samsung Electronics' Semiconductor System LSI Division, to support POSTECH's development, and has operated since fall 2005. The department named Room 405 in Engineering Building 2 the Kwon Oh-hyun Seminar Room. Two third-year students are selected annually, and previous recipients in their fourth year who maintain the required academic standing also receive scholarships.
