Dr. Hyeong-tae Choi, the first Ph.D. graduate of POSTECH Electrical Engineering's CTRL Laboratory in February 2025 and currently a postdoctoral researcher there, will join Chung-Ang University's School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering as an Assistant Professor on September 1, 2025.

Under Professor Jung-hoon Kim's supervision, he conducted in-depth research on control theory and applications, particularly methods for analyzing and counteracting persistent disturbances in nonlinear systems.

Over the past three years, this work produced six first-author papers in SCIE-indexed international journals ranked in the top 10%.

At Chung-Ang University, he will teach automatic control theory and applications and pursue new theoretical frameworks for safety control and their application to collision avoidance in robotic and autonomous driving systems.
