[Article] CTRL Lab Has Five Papers Accepted at IEEE CDC 2025

POSTECH Electrical Engineering's CTRL Laboratory, advised by Professor Junghoon Kim, has had five papers accepted at the IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (CDC) 2025, to be held December 9–12 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This is a world-class result for a single laboratory, demonstrating its research strength and international competitiveness.

Founded in 1962, IEEE CDC is a leading control systems conference held in major cities worldwide, attracting an average of approximately 1,700 scientists and engineers annually. It is one of the conferences rated A by CORE, placing it in the top 15% of computer science conferences worldwide, and ranks among the top 15 journals and conferences in Google Scholar's Automation & Control Theory category.

Accepted papers:

Dr. Hyeongtae Choi, “A Barrier Function-based Approach for Nonlinear L1 Control,” proposes the first control-barrier-function-based analysis and controller design for nonlinear L1 control.

Haeyeon Park, “Analysis and Synthesis for the _(∞/2)-Induced Norms of Sampled-Data Systems via Differential Linear Matrix Inequality Approach” and “A Differential Linear Matrix Inequality-based Approach to the Worst-Timing-Type _2 Control of Sampled-Data Systems,” proposes new differential linear matrix inequalities for sampled-data system analysis and design.

Eoryeong Kang, “The _(∞/2)-Gain Analysis for Sampled-Data Periodic Event-Triggered Control Systems: Discretization Method with Convergence Rate Analysis,” proposes a new quantitative analysis method and theoretical basis for event-triggered sampled-data control systems.

Junghoon Kim, “A Discretization for Sampled-Data Controller Synthesis of Minimizing the _1-induced Norm,” proposes a new optimal controller design method for sampled-data systems.
